What is The Yard and how to log in

🏡 What is The Yard?

The Yard is the employee platform for Richter's Lawn Care and GreenX Tree Care. It's where you'll find your daily forms, manuals, learning resources, profile info, and team tools — all in one place.

The Yard works on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. It's designed to be fast and simple so you can focus on your work in the field.

🔑 How to Log In

  1. Open your browser and go to rbx.findtheyard.com
  2. Enter your 4-digit PIN when prompted
  3. You'll land on your home screen with your role-specific tools
ℹ️
First-time login: Your manager sets up your account and gives you your PIN. You don't need to create an account yourself.

🔒 Can't Log In?

If your PIN isn't working or you've been locked out, contact your manager or the office. They can reset your PIN or check your account status.

⚠️
Too many wrong attempts? After several failed PIN entries, your IP address is temporarily locked out for security. Wait a few minutes or switch to a different network (like WiFi vs cellular) and try again.

Installing as a Mobile App
Add The Yard to your home screen for faster access

🍎 iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open rbx.findtheyard.com in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button (square with up arrow) at the bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Add" in the top right corner

The Yard icon will now appear on your home screen just like any other app.

🤖 Android (Chrome)

  1. Open rbx.findtheyard.com in Chrome
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right
  3. Tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"
  4. Tap "Install" to confirm

✨ Why Install?

  • Faster access — opens instantly from your home screen, no typing URLs
  • Full-screen mode — feels like a native app without browser bars
  • Works offline — Learning Center pages cache automatically after you visit them
  • Always up to date — updates automatically in the background

Offline Mode
Using The Yard without internet

📡 What Works Offline

The Yard uses a service worker to cache pages you've visited. After your first visit, these resources are available even without internet:

  • Learning Center pages — manuals, guides, and QRC cards all cache after first visit
  • SDS & Labels Library — safety data sheets load offline
  • Quick Reference Cards — round reference, daily musts, mix rates

🚫 What Requires Internet

  • Submitting forms — TEOD, PTO requests, and all forms need a connection to submit
  • Profile data — performance metrics pull from the server
  • Estimating tools — the calculator needs live SA5 data

Offline form submission: If you try to submit a form without internet, you'll see an error. Wait until you're back on WiFi or cellular and try again.

🔄 Refreshing Cached Content

If you see a "cached version" notice or something looks out of date, pull down to refresh the page when you're back on WiFi. The app updates its cache automatically in the background.

Your Profile
Performance metrics, schedule, and certifications

👤 Viewing Your Profile

Tap My Profile from your home screen to see your personal dashboard. Here you'll find:

  • Performance metrics — stops per day, revenue, efficiency scores
  • Schedule — your upcoming routes and assignments
  • Certifications — training completions and badges earned
  • PTO balance — available time off

📊 How Data Updates

Your profile pulls data automatically from the service records system. You don't need to enter anything manually — it updates as your work is recorded in RealGreen/SA5.

ℹ️
Numbers look off? Profile data syncs periodically from SA5. If today's numbers aren't showing yet, check back later or ask your manager.

Forms Hub
End-of-day reports, PTO, and more

📋 Available Forms

All forms are in the Forms section on your home screen. The most common forms you'll use:

  • TEOD (Tech End of Day) — submit your daily report for lawn, tree, pest, or liquid/soil
  • PTO Request — request time off
  • Report Issue — report vehicle, equipment, or safety issues
  • Call-Off Report — report an absence
  • Customer Feedback — log compliments or complaints

💾 Form Drafts

If you exit a form before submitting, your progress is saved as a draft. When you come back to the same form, your entries will still be there.

TEOD tip: Start filling out your TEOD throughout the day as you complete stops. Don't wait until the end — it's easier to remember details in real time.

✅ After Submitting

Once you submit a form, you'll see a confirmation message. Your submission is recorded and visible to your manager. If something looks wrong after submitting, contact your manager to make corrections.

Learning Center
Manuals, guides, and quick reference cards

📚 What's in the Learning Center

The Learning Center is your library of manuals, training materials, and reference cards. Content is organized by role:

  • Your Manuals — role-specific manuals (lawn tech, tree tech, pest tech, manager, CSR, etc.)
  • Quick Reference Cards (QRCs) — one-page references for rounds, codes, mix rates, and daily procedures
  • Safety & Company — safety manual, employee handbook, onboarding guide, SDS library
  • System Guides — guides for The Yard, Operations Portal, and other tools

🔍 Search

Use the search bar at the top of the Learning Center to find topics fast. Search works across all manual titles and content tags. Type keywords like "mix rate", "round reference", or "pto" to find what you need.

📡 Offline Access

Every manual and QRC page you visit is automatically cached for offline use. This means you can pull up reference material even when you're in the field without cell service.

💡
Pro tip: On your first day, browse through the key manuals and QRCs while on WiFi. This pre-loads them for offline access in the field.

Getting Help
Who to contact when something isn't working

🆘 Common Issues & Who to Contact

  • Can't log in / PIN not working — Contact your manager or the office
  • Page not loading — Check your internet connection, try refreshing. If it persists, try clearing your browser cache
  • Form won't submit — Make sure you're online. Check for any required fields you may have missed
  • Wrong data showing — Data syncs from SA5 periodically. If it's been more than a day, tell your manager
  • Missing a section or tool — Your view is filtered by role. Ask your manager if you need access to something

🔄 The Platform Updates Regularly

The Yard is updated frequently with new features, forms, and content. If something looks different from what you remember, it was improved. Updates happen automatically — you don't need to do anything.
